TN State Senate District 2
Tom Hatcher
With deep roots in rural family farming and a lifetime of public service, Blount County native Tom Hatcher brings a strong work ethic and extensive experience to the table. Raised on a rural family farm learning the value of hard work, his journey has taken him from the fields to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, where he served for over a decade.
With his wife Donna by his side for over 45 years, they’ve been blessed with a son, a daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters. Tom’s commitment to family extends to the broader community. As Blount County Circuit Court Clerk for nearly 30 years, he has dedicated his life to public service.
Tom’s leadership roles include Chair of the County Officials Legislative Committee for eight years and Chair of the State Circuit Court Clerks Committee for 15 years. He has worked closely with legislators and community leaders to draft and pass legislation to support local government and improve the judicial system.
TN Rep. District 8
Jerome Moon
A retired newspaper publisher and a former chairman of the Blount County Commission, Jerome Moon is a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 8. He assumed office on December 12, 2017, and is on the ballot in the Republican primary on August 1, 2024.
A graduate of Maryville High School and The University of Tennessee, Jerome has two daughters and four grandchildren with his wife Deborah.
In 2023-2024, Moon served on the Commerce Committee, the Finance, Ways, and Means Committee, and the Local Government Committee. In addition, he was previously assigned to the State Government Committee.
As a life member of Vietnam Veterans for America, Jerome is dedicated to military and veteran affairs. He is also Past President of United Way of Blount County and Past Chair of the Blount County Industrial Board.

Tom Stinnett
Tom Stinnett has dedicated his life to serving our community and has been a respected leader protecting our conservative values and beliefs.
After earning degrees from East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee, Tom returned home to help educate the next generation of children as a STEM teacher, driving instructor, and successful coach of the football, track, and golf teams in the Maryville City School System.
Tom has continued his service to the community serving as a Deacon at the Central Baptist Church Alcoa, a Meals on Wheels driver, Emergency Medical Service Board, Blount County Community Action Agency, Friendsville Volunteer Fire Department, and the Blount County Football Association.
For the last nine years, Tom has served as County Commissioner, where he championed efforts to improve infrastructure and create jobs, increase public safety, and enhance public education.
Tom is running for the state house to keep serving our community and protect the conservative values we hold dear. Tom and his wife Patricia have been married 41 years. They have two children and two grandchildren.
