Chuck Tallent

Chuck Tallent grew up in the Seymour area and moved to Blount County after accepting a position with Eagleton College and Career Academy (ECCA) in 2018. Chuck has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University and has taught in the public education system for more than 10 years. In addition to teaching, Chuck is passionate about coaching and encouraging young people to participate in youth sports. Chuck also serves as the Athletic Director and Boys’ Basketball Coach at ECCA.

Chuck is married to Stephanie and they have a young daughter, Katie. When he is not working, Chuck enjoys supporting UT Athletics and spending time with family and friends.

Chuck believes it is important to support our local education system and economic development, both critical issues for keeping and attracting families to Blount County. Chuck believes it is important to balance development and growth with agriculture and the county’s outdoor recreation areas. Chuck understands it is important to support and attract small and large businesses to Blount County to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. If elected, Chuck will work to maintain the conservative values and high quality of living important to the residents of Blount County.
